Guardian of the Gates

I am calling you to this plane
Naga Kanya, guardian of the gates
The twisting of the serpents
Has wrung dry the waters of your ocean
It is time for you to return
And bring the moisture of compassion
To this parched dry land
Your protection is needed at this time
To return us to the intended path
With your sacred offering,
Let the tides wash clean our shores
And usher in the winds of change
To heed our collective call

To Judith, I thank you for the inspiration...

Cat, really needed your words and beautiful photo this morning especially with one more day to go. I think we are all holding our breaths with hope and there will be a collective release heard throughout this land on Tuesday night.

I think of the Indian saying-don't know which group-as they open their arms wide in the morning, "behold, a brand new day".

Thanks for providing me with such visual and moving beauty.

To the Friend of Mom, I love the saying "behold, a brand new day." Thank you. I believe that the collective voice reaches beyond our land; the world en masse will be among the collective release. Go to this site and see how how the world would vote: http://www.iftheworldcouldvote.com/

Judith, and the circle continues! That is a great website! Thanks for sharing that.

Mom's Friend, I am so nervous that at this point it feels like prayers and envisioning are the only things left to do. I am so looking forward to saying, no singing loudly that phrase on Wednesday morning. Thank you.

Cat, you should have seen your mom and me at lunch last week with our fears and our hopes and memories of the last two debacles. We'll hopefully share the good news on Tuesday night at the Demo Headquarters here in Ukiah too nervous and then too excited to enjoy Obama's recipe for chili which I won't anyway because of veggie situation but you know what I mean. I may be driving home elated and excited for the "brand new day". Still nervous but with hope just wishing it to be over.

Mom's friend, I wish I could be there with you, what a great way to spend election night. Where do I find the chili recipe? Perhaps I will make it for my dad to join in the spirit on Tuesday.

Cat, try googling it ask your mom. Do make the cornmeal muffins to go along with it. I found an easy recipe, like my mom's I think, on epicurian website or I can send to you if you'd like.

I make a mean chili. While I can tell you what goes into the pot, I can't tell you how much of this or that. I'm a taste as you go kind of girl. But I'd be happy to share the ingredients with you.
