Because we truly are dying
And have spent so many seasons
Hiding behind a cape of shade,
Perhaps that is why we have chosen this time
To let passion touch our faces
Without running from what we are.
Knowing that next month
The season will have changed
And we will once again be asleep.

What a gorgeous picture. Makes one realize the joys that arise from living in an area with all the seasons!
RS: Thank you. It is difficult not to take a gorgeous picture with these kind of colors in the palette. The day it became autumn here was visceral. One day it was summer, and then one night it got cool, and it never warmed up again. --C
Did you notice the face in the bottom right quadrant? A beautiful tree sprite
The photo is very nice but your words here are truly touching.

Thank you for your kind words AC. In regards to the photo, I need to get out there on an overcast day to get what I am truly trying to get as an image of what is happening now with the changing colors. The sunlight, tho stunning to the eye, is blinding to the camera, as you know so well. I will continue the pursuit!
RS: I do see that face! And since you said that, I think I can see hundreds more. Is it our human propensity to see faces in everything?
