Riddle

Deep in the cave
In the hollow empty places
Stagnant air caresses the skin,
A thousand velvet tongues.
How long have …
It doesn’t matter, can’t remember.
Hands mingle with a shape
A box … a secret … rusted shut,
A key … washed away
Sometime long, long ago
In a tide of floods passed?
There is a path, a way out
But once this room is abandoned,
The secret may be lost forever
Is it worth it to stay
When tongues turn to flame?
