In the wind they heard
The three graces chanting soft
A summer None song

I hear the soft chant of the summer as I look at your enchanting picture Cat. Lovely!

You always catch me at the right moment. Was just listening to 'Summer Wine' :D

Have to say, probably for the first time on your blog, I loved the painting more. :P

When we met face-to-face, I knew you were a 'special' someone, Cat. But I had no clue that you are actually LOADED with talent. Bautiful picture, words...all you need is music--violin music, of course? -grin!

Hope your father is well, staying out of trouble.
Peace,
Steve

What an impressive painting, Cat. The shadowing is so good. Lovely poem, as always.

A Summer None Song? I can't hear none; Are you sure it's not a Summer Something Song? Maybe it's just me, maybe I need to relax and enjoy nature; Maybe I should take up yoga.

Hello Everyone, thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful comments!

Just to clear up any confusion about what the poem means, 'None' is one of the Hours of the Catholic Liturgy. It is the three o'clock in the afternoon worship.

And the 'three graces' are those group of three trees you see in many of my paintings. This is the first time I've painted them in the summer. Last time I painted them, they had no leaves.

Beautiful, Cat! I love the poem and the picture. Even without the explanation of "none," it worked wonderfully for me. I didn't know it, though. So thanks for that! The picture is awesome. I feel like I could just climb inside, lay by those trees and watch. Gorgeous:)
